Bill Britton, 85, of Oviedo, FL., passed away peacefully at his home, with family members by his side on September 1st, 2020. Born in Ontario, Canada to Fred and Janet Britton.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Janet Britton along with a brother Jack Britton, sisters Marion Bridgewood and Joan Webb: all of Ontario, Canada.
He is survived by his wife Sheila Britton of 62 years; children, Dawn Stewart and husband Donald Stewart of Satellite Beach, FL, Dale McEllhiney and husband Greg McEllhiney of Merritt Island, FL, Dean Britton and his wife Elizabeth Britton of Deland, FL, and Darci Britton Childers of Jacksonville, FL; also 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren in Florida; a sister Freda Welborn in Ontario, Canada.
Bill Britton served over 20 years in the United States Air Force (600th Photo Squadron), traveling all over the world and served many tours in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. After military service he was employed at an Orlando news station until he retired for a second time.
Visitation was held from 1PM-2PM, Sunday, September 6 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Orlando, Flordia.
