My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Mansie Booker. He was a superior SNCO, leader and mentor to me and others throughout our Air Force careers. As a newly minted Lieutenant, reporting to HQ AAVS in 1985, Mansie was one of the first members I met and we hit it off immediately. To say he took me under his wing is a understatement and I learned the do’ and don’ts of managing comcam deployed operations from him. He was a pleasure to be around both on and off the job and I look back fondly on our numerous experiences professionally, in intramural sports and friendship. He was a devoted father, husband, Airman and entrepreneur–he’ll be missed.
