Bill was brilliant and had an extraordinary sense of curiosity. Bill attended Rhodes College in Memphis in 1970 studying Photojournalism. He later went into the Air Force where he was part a very select group of Air Force photographers. While at Andrews AFB, he often worked at arrivals and departures of the President. Bill took many assignments directly from both the offices of the Secretary of the Air Force and Secretary of Defense. Bill took a brief detour away from the Air Force and worked for US News and World Report and covered many international beats including dangerous situations in the Middle East. During this time as well Bill became an avid Skydiver and Scuba diver with over a 1000 jumps and 500 dives. He even had the unique privilege to dive several shipwrecks with author Clive Cussler. Bill re-entered the Air force in 1975 where he worked in public relations and information technology and obtained his MBA from St. Mary’s College. After retiring from the Air Force Bill dove into his love of computer and telecommunication networking with a multitude of high tech companies. His final professional role was as VP of Sales for a Telecommunications start up, and while he was a gifted engineer, he found he equally loved sales and the art of closing a deal.

Without a doubt, Bill’s greatest love and achievement was his son Milo. Bill became a father later in life, but his energy and commitment to his family was unwavering. He made sure Milo was exposed to every opportunity whether it be starting Milo’s YouTube channel “BadwithCoolness”, getting him front row to shake hands with President Obama, to supporting Milo’s musical and acting goals, it was always 110%. Bill was fortunate to be able to work from home and was with Milo and his family everyday, and while our time was too short, Bill never wasted one minute of his time focused on anything but the deep love he held for his family.
