Michael Gerald Fleck went to be with our Lord on May 31, 2014. He was born on January 20, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, to Pauline and Gerald Fleck.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Suzi of Crestview, FL; children, Lerena Fleck, Tallahassee, FL, Scot Fleck of Atlanta, GA, Kelli (Mike) Mayo of Moline, IL, Tara (Rick) Morris of Tallapoosa, GA; and Chris Peterson of Battanbam, Cambodia; sisters, Judy (Marvin) McFarland of St. Robert, MO and Kathy (Brad) McMeen; brother-in-law, Dennis (Gailyn) Brock of Bardstown, KY; aunt, Maxine Itle of Altoona, PA; grandchildren, Victoria, Paige, Erick, Tyler and Ashleigh; friend and former spouse, Donna Fleck of Quincy, FL; church family, dear friends; cousins; numerous nephews, one niece, and several great-nieces and great-nephews; pets, Pebbles and Beau, dogs; and cat, Baby.
Mike while stationed at Detachment 3, 1361st Audiovisual Squadron, Rhein Main Air Base, Germany.
Mike had a distinguished military career as a Combat Photographer and Multi-Media Specialist. He won numerous awards for his talent. After 28 years of devoted military service, he worked as a contractor on Eglin AFB in the Media Center, again using his photography skills (another 23 years).
He was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church; the Knights of Columbus; Senior Circle and Joy Club. He and Suzi loved to travel, spend time with the kids and grandkids, peruse flea markets and antique shops, and watch movies. He was an animal lover and protector, and had very deep faith. Mike was an avid (that’s an understatement) FSU football fan (it’s believed his blood ran garnet and gold).
A visitation was held at Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial and a memorial mass at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Crestview, Florida at on June 3, 2014. Interment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations in Mike’s name to the Humane Society, 1915 Sharp Rd., Rolla, MO, 65401 and the Humane Society of Nelson County, 2391 New Haven Rd, Bardstown, KY, 40004.
“Now his ordeal and suffering are finished. He is now experiencing unimaginably-powerful, loving peace. His spirit is free from the flesh that was causing him so much pain. And now, where there is love, he is there.”

Spent a couple years working with Mike at Langley. in the early ’70’s Very saddened to learn of his passing.
Thank you so much, i an his youngest biological daughter and was born at Langley AFB.
I believe Mike worked with me at Ubon RTAFB in 1966-67 – sorry to hear of his passing
