Sad news to report: CMS-ret RAUL DURAN died peacefully and unexpectedly this afternoon while napping in his bedroom.
The children had been concerned about a cough he had, otherwise there were no other symptoms.
His wife, Anita, has been and continues recuperating from knee surgery.
Their daughter Rocky will keep me informed, but as of now, there are no set plans for services. It will take some time to assess Anita’s situation.

Services will be March 17 and 18 as follows:
Viewing Thursday March 17, 4 – 8 p.m. (Rosary at 4:30 p.m.)
Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary
3520 E. Washington Street
Colton, Calif. 92324
Funeral Mass, Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m.
at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic church on the grounds of Montecito.
Interment to follow on the grounds
Reception location to be determined
Rocky says they are working on a hotel deal for out of town guests. When new info is known, I will post it here same day. – frank

Raul was of the highest integrity, a dedicated and loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed. I have 38 years of friendship and memories of Raul and the whole Duran family.
SORRY To hear able the passing of CMSgt Duran…. my thought and prayers go out to the Family.
