Bob Waston passed yesterday, June 16, 2015. He was a Still Photographic Specialist with AAVS. I met Bob, when I was assigned to the 1363rd AAVS at Hickam AFB, HI. He was flying the C-130 missions with the 6594th Test GP (Catch a Falling Star) at the time, 1979. We were recovering the capsules containing film taken by satellites, returning from space. The photo above is of, l to r Myself, Bob Watson, Pat Knowles, and Mike Sklack. We all flew together with the 6594th Test Gp and other missions, including Team Spirit. I am sorry, I don’t have any pictures of Bob, while he was on Active Duty. May you rest in peace, my friend.
