The board of officers held a Teleconference July 3rd. Topics discussed were our annual reunion update, social media improvements, and Airman Heritage Museum progress.
Attendance for the reunion is starting to build and we encourage you to get registered as soon as you practically can so we can project the activities we want to offer our group. Don’t forget to make the hotel reservations early as well please, those numbers will help us in any dealings with the staff there.
Look forward to a couple of changes Jim Pearson will be making to our Combat Camera home page. Jim is also planning on having the CC home page inputs go directly to Facebook, and Twitter, hopefully reaching more folks with the latest. Speaking of the home page, I am guilty of not checking it very regularly, and was sad to learn of the passing of so many of our group including my friend Doug Lay, and one of my favorite mentors and crew chiefs, Ralph Crese. My belated condolences to all.
Pat Nugent will visit the Airman Heritage Museum facility in San Antonio to do some research for our proposed exhibit depicting Combat Camera through the decades from WWII and Korea to Viet Nam. Viet Nam through the Gulf war, and Gulf war through today’s mission. We are looking forward to progress on this project, as it will likely be our opportunity to display more of the history of our group beyond our other museum exhibits at March and Norton AFBs.
