I’m turning 65 in a few months and I got my package to sign up for Medicare when I found out that in order to keep my Tricare benefits I’d have to sign-up for Part B and pay $105.oo a month. I thought, surely I’m reading something wrong and so I turned to Facebook and posted the following question for all my fellow military retirees.
I got a lot of good information and I thought that I’d share it here for others that are approaching this golden age like myself!!
“For all my retired military friends: I’m coming up on Medicare age and got my package to enroll. My question is am I reading right when they say in order to keep my Tricare I have to enroll in Part B coverage and pay over $100 a month? I thought our retirement medical benefits were for life, without cost! Thoughts?” – Jim Pearson
