The Board of Officers had a Zoom call March 16. A quorum of Officers participated. There was no formal agenda, it was just time we all touched base on items of interest to the membership.
Although no one had requested one, the Board decided to refund the registration fees to those who had prepaid for reunions that were postponed due to health concerns.
The Combat Camera display at the Lackland Airman’s Museum is still a work in progress. Our thanks to Pat Nugent and Don Sutherland for their collaboration with Museum personnel on getting our basic display into the museum hall.
Now that the Covid concerns are mostly behind us, we are challenged by increasing gas prices and inflation; so, the yearly or every other year “Reunion” could be hard to set-up and accomplish during these times.
The board has floated an idea to have a series of “Mini-Reunions” in cities around the country and the format would be an individual to suggest a location, secure a meeting room for an “ice-Breaker” evening and organize a tour or event that the attendees could enjoy. This suggested new format will be a fraction of the effort that has gone into some of our previous reunions in the hope that more folks would be willing to host a get together. Anyone thinking about hosting can call or contact me for more specifics.
Stay Well everyone. – Pat Knowles gppjk.8@gmail.com
